About this class

Rational ClearCase Administration is intended for experienced Rational ClearCase users and ClearCase administrators. In this two-day course, students build on the knowledge gained from the Rational ClearCase Fundamentals and the Applying Rational ClearCase Metadata courses. Students learn techniques to ease deployment and maintenance of a ClearCase implementation from initial project planning through configuration, installation, and ongoing administration.

Available for Microsoft Windows and UNIX platforms

What prerequisites are required

Students should have completed:

• Web-based training
• SCM101: Principles of Software Configuration Management
• SCM310: Essentials of Rational ClearCase UCM
• Rational ClearCase Fundamentals or
• Fundamentals of Rational ClearCase and Unified Change Management
• (Option to SCM310: Essentials of Rational ClearCase UCM)
• Rational ClearCase Metadata or
• Managing Software Products with Rational ClearCase and Unified Change Management

To benefit from this course, students must have:

• One year of experience working in or administering a UNIX or Microsoft Windows environment
• Six months experience with Microsoft Windows system administration
