About this class

IBM MRO Software has two reporting tools: IBM Maximo Query and IBM Maximo eSpreadsheet Designer.

Maximo Query is a new tool introduced in Actuate 7. Maximo Query is a simple, intuitive Web-based query tool designed for end-users of all levels of computing sophistication. Simpler and more straightforward than traditional querying tools, Maximo Query makes it easy for Maximo users to issue ad-hoc queries without having to know the location or structure of the underlying data. One does not need to know how to create a report in Maximo in order to use either tool. Because it leverages simplified naming structures and an intuitive Web-based wizard, Maximo Query enables business users to get the information they need quickly without having to wait for IT assistance. Maximo Query uses information objects, which are first created in eRDPro then posted to Actuate's iServer. One accesses these objects to create individual queries; a single information object can support multiple queries. Maximo eSpreadsheet Designer enables Business Users to create reports in an Excel-Like Environment. eSpreadsheet (eSS) Reports offer significant formatting capability, along with the ability to create graphs.!

Who will the lesson benefit?
