Also known as: WB190GBGB About this classIBM WebSphere Business Monitor is business activity monitoring software that provides the capability to measure business performance, monitor in-flight and completed processes, and report on business operations. It provides the necessary information to identify business problems, correct exceptions, and improve processes to achieve a more efficient and competitive business. WebSphere Business Monitor can monitor and analyze processes modeled with WebSphere Business Modeler and running with WebSphere Process Server. Monitor retrieves actual process data from WebSphere Process Server's runtime database and compiles that data in Monitor's database for use in comprehensive historical analyses using DB2 Cube Views. Further, Monitor can provide feedback of the actual results into WebSphere Business Modeler, thus improving simulation and analysis and expediting continuous process improvement. This technical course demonstrates why WebSphere Business Monitor is a key part of IBM WebSphere Business Process Management. Students learn to use the powerful ability of WebSphere Business Monitor to provide real-time business views of enterprise data, which can be compared to process historical data to ensure that targets are reached. Students begin by exploring the modeled process in Modeler, and then assembling the application in WebSphere Integration Developer (WID). Based on this BPEL application, students use the Monitor Development Toolkit, which is a plug-in for WID, to develop a monitoring model to measure business process performance. After deploying the application and monitoring model on WebSphere Process Server, students use WebSphere Portal to build customized business dashboards./p Who will the lesson benefit? This course is designed for implementation consultants, integration developers, IT specialists, project managers, and support engineers.
