About this class

This course enables students to install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server base and Network Deployment, V6, and to deploy enterprise Java applications in a single machine or clustered configuration. It then teaches the basic administrative concepts of WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).

What prerequisites are required

Before taking this course, students should have:

  • An understanding of basic Internet concepts
  • Experience using a Web browser
  • Administration skills for a Web server such as IBM HTTP Server or Apache
  • Basic operational skills for the Windows 2000 operating system
  • A basic understanding of SOA concepts
  • Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server administration is beneficial.
