About this class This 5-day course will make students self-sufficient in building Performance Insight reporting solutions and in the implementation and automation of advanced Performance Insight deployments - including multi-server, distributed, and failover configurations using HP OpenView Performance Insight (OVPI) version 5.1. This lecture and lab course is taught on Windows(R) platforms, but includes information for operating OVPI on Unix systems. Who will the lesson benefit? - OpenView Customers: System or network administrators who are responsible for modifying existing reports, building reporting solutions, and the day-to-day administration of multi-server distributed OVPI environments.
- OpenView Channel Partners: consultants, system architects, integrators and planners who need to use OVPI.
- HP Software Engineers involved in pre-sales and post-sales support for OVPI.
What prerequisites are required - HP OV Performance Insight Administration I.
- Familiarity with the SNMP protocol including MIBs and instance identifiers.
- An understanding of basic statistical analysis functions.
- Experience with relational databases is helpful.
