About this class

Microsoft Access 2003 is the Office 2003 relational database management program and an ideal development environment for database applications. A business requires its people to be capable of driving the design and improvement of their databases. This course is designed to fulfil this need. It also covers material necessary for completion of the relevant European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) exams.

Who will the lesson benefit?

The course is aimed at those who will be designing, supporting, amending or creating databases. Delegates will learn how to use the more advanced and powerful features of Access 2003 in order to be more efficient in data management, including complex forms, reports with charts and action queries for bulk data processing.

What delegates will learn

Delegates will be able to create a database and manage data more effectively. They will be able to create complex forms and reports, use action queries to process data and set query properties to maximise their use of queries. Delegates will also be shown the basic concepts of relational database theory.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Design a relational database.
  • Create tables and relationships.
  • Set field properties.
  • Create advanced queries and action queries.
  • Create complex forms displaying data from multiple tables.
  • Produce advanced reports.
