About this class

This 5-day course provides an in-depth, hands-on introduction to the HP StorageWorks XP family of disk arrays. The architecture concepts are provided as a foundation. The course then provides a short description of Storage Area Networks. Students are immersed in the StorageWorks XP software, which will give them the necessary knowledge to manage and administer the disk arrays in highly available environments.

System Administrators responsible for the configuration and management of HP SureStore XP Disk Arrays in a high availability environment.

What prerequisites are required

UNIX system knowledge an advantage.
Experience administering an operating system, preferably HP-UX.
Familiarity with RAID technology and high availability issues is useful.
